Brief videos, hosted on Timeline’s YouTube channel, highlight the new product enhancements. Timeline Launches New Website

Timeline Casement Product Family Achieves Projected EPA Values

Merrill, WI. (November 6, 2012) – Enhanced in anticipation of ENERGY STAR®'s newest performance criteria for the Northern and North-Central zones, Timeline's Casement, Awning, matching Studio Picture units and Direct Sets now far exceed the most aggressive current and future energy rating requirements. Currently, ENERGY STAR® requires .30 with a proposed drop to .27 in 2014 for the Northern Zone.

Their key design improvement, occurring in the sash, revolves around a wider glazing shelf now allowing the use of triple-pane glass. Not only does their triple-pane glass (Triple-glass LoE²/180) reach this goal, it significantly surpasses it. The new products are engineered to achieve 0.20 U-Values. That's R5!

Timeline's triple pane glass option is a specialized combination of LoE 272 (surface #2) and LoE-180 (surface #5). The center sheet remains clear and uncoated. All three pieces of glass are 1/8" thick and are separated by Cardinal's XL Edge spacer, dual-sealed and feature an argon gas fill.

All Timeline casements, with Triple-glass LoE²/180, feature reinforced sash reaching a Class LC-PG50 rating. Improvements are made (over standard dual pane) in other vital fenestration categories including: Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) and Ultra Violet (UV) protection, all while achieving a respectful Visible Transmittance (VT).

The product performs better and it looks great too! New frame and sash grooves reduce unsightly die lines areas. Studio Picture windows now include creative shadow lines between the sash profile and the frame. Both operating windows and fixed units retain the traditional sloped putty-glazed appearance.

Not only did they think of conserving energy with excellent architectural aesthetics, but Timeline also considered the installer. Wide 1-3/8" nailing fins provide great coverage of the rough opening and allow ample room for nailing windows even with the J-Channel option installed.
